The California Consumer Privacy Act, known as the CCPA, was signed into law in California in 2018. It is intended to enhance privacy rights and consumer protection for residents of California. While it addresses a wide range of consumer privacy issues, it also provides a variety of new and more comprehensive protections for data and other online consumer information.
