When my daughter started school, I was certain I could fulfill my responsibilities as a parent; until I faced the reality… emails, messages, flyers in the backpack, signups on the door and an outdated website.
Little did I know that the teacher’s day-to-day reality is way harder. Not only do teachers face conflicting parent expectations and preferences for when, what and how to communicate, but they also have to manage this and a multitude of admin tasks on top of their core teaching responsibilities.
And to top it off:
Teachers spend hundreds (sometimes thousands of dollars) to get their students what they need.
When we started ClassTag, we imagined a different reality where parents and teachers find it easy to connect and build relationships, work together to support student success and have more resources for the classroom (without relying on teacher’s pockets or constant fundraising from the parents).
That is the reality that we want ClassTag to inspire and fuel in every classroom, one message, one donation, one relationship, and one student success at a time.
Now millions of messages, pictures, videos, conferences, volunteers and donations later, we are humbled and inspired by amazing success stories from our classrooms.
This reality is possible and we are making it happen together!
