TCEA is almost here! With more than 900 sessions and 450 exhibitors, it’s going to be an intense few days, to say the least. To make sense of all the learning opportunities TCEA has to offer, we’ve asked our befriended speakers what they are looking forward to the most.
Shannon McClintock Miller
Shannon McClintock Miller worked as a K-12 district teacher librarian for 8 years. Now, she’s an international speaker and consultant who has a passion for education, librarianship, technology, social media, and making a difference in the world and lives of others, especially children.
As the Future Ready Librarians and Follett’s Project Connect Spokesperson, Shannon recommends joining a conversation about what it takes to be a Future Ready Librarian.
“I am excited to spread the word and support Future Ready Schools and Librarians at TCEA. It is a wonderful opportunity to connect everyone as we embrace being Future Ready ourselves, along with the leaders, teachers, librarians and students within our school communities.” – says Shannon.
Shannon is also looking forward to Tom Murray’s session about “Future Ready Schools”. If you’re hoping to implement bold, innovative solution at your school, this is your chance to learn from the best. Tom serves as the Director of Innovation for Future Ready Schools, a Project of the Alliance for Excellent Education, located in Washington, and has been recognized numerous times as a “Top Influencer” and “Thought Leader of the Year”.
Desiree Alexander
Desiree Alexander is an educational consultant who works with different school districts and companies to aid teachers and employees in integrating technology seamlessly. Desiree is keeping busy this year, with three presentations at TCEA – she will be talking about PowToon, Parent Pitfalls and The Many Uses of Google Forms.
“In addition to my sessions, I am looking forward to learning about how to flip a classroom without Internet from Summer Winrotte and Daniell Edmunds.” – says Desiree. “I am also very interested in learning how to play Minecraft for educational purposes from Benson Kwok.” – she added.
