ClassTag communication functionality just got a “hyper boost”! You can now choose between 1-to-1 Messaging, Group Messaging and Announcements to reach parents more effectively. With this major update, you can now take care of all communications and scheduling in one place. Here is how it works.
When sending a new message, you can select any combination of recipients – send a private and secure message to an individual parent or to a chosen group. Parents can reply directly from ClassTag or by email – all messages and replies will be conveniently stored in one inbox.
Parents and teachers can respond to messages via email (all messages stored in ClassTag), from ClassTag web app, or using our mobile app. They will even get instant push notifications on their phone! Perfect for urgent messages and staying in touch on the go.
Are parents being too chatty? As always, as a teacher, you have the full control of communication options available to parents. Simply go to Class Settings to disable parent to parent messaging- parents’ ability to initiate conversation. Overall, too much activity from parents is not a common concern – if you find that families are becoming too involved, do share your engagement secrets with us ;)!
Now, you can meet all your communication needs with one application. Imagine how effective your classroom management could become if you set aside 30 minutes every week to update ClassTag. In one session, you can:
Log in now and explore the possibilities of direct and group messaging with ClassTag.
Are you using a ClassTag mobile app? From next week, you’ll be able to use one-to-one messaging using iOS and Android apps, including handy push notifications. Make sure to update your app next week to make the most of these new features.
